Equipment for Lifting and Moving Loads

Types of Equipment

1. Suspended load lifting

In this method, the load is secured with special accessories and held in a suspended position. This category includes:

Used for vertical lifting of loads to height. Available in various configurations, with different load capacities and rope or chain lengths.

Cranes and overhead cranes
Allow vertical and horizontal load movement along the span. Can be stationary or mobile.

Winches
Mechanical or electric devices for lifting, tensioning, or moving loads horizontally or at an incline.

Lifting clamps (flat, pipe, magnetic)
Ensure secure fixation of loads with specific shapes (sheets, pipes, barrels, steel parts).

Spreader beams (bars, crossbeams)
Evenly distribute the load during lifting of large or long loads.

2. Load lifting on support

The load rests on a working platform or support mechanism:

Jacks (mechanical, hydraulic, screw)
Used for lifting heavy objects to a small height, including for installation and equipment repair.

Lift tables
Convenient for handling loads in warehouses, workshops, and assembly lines. Allow lifting loads to working height.

Stackers (manual, semi-electric, electric)
Used for stacking loads onto shelves and moving them around the warehouse.

Pallet trucks (hydraulic carts, pallet jacks)
The most common type of warehouse equipment for moving pallets over flat surfaces.

Roller platforms (load skates)
Used for moving especially large or heavy loads in workshops and warehouses.

3. Weight measurement and control equipment

Crane scales
Allow accurate weight control during lifting and moving, ensuring safe equipment operation.
