Rope loop sling, SKP

In many areas of activity, there are times when it is necessary to move cargo of oversized sizes or non-standard shapes. Special devices come to the rescue - loop rope slings.

Design

The SKP is often called a sling or chalk. This is the most popular type of sling. UPC is made of steel ropes.

The design of such a product has some features. This applies to methods of sealing cable ends. There are two options: braiding or crimping. The slings are crimped on a modern hydraulic press. Imported aluminum bushings are used to seal the ends. They do not weigh down the structure and are small in size.

The design of the sling is crowned with a hook hook. High-alloy steel is used to make hooks. The strength coefficient of such products is 5 to 1. The hook is equipped with an eye and a plate lock.

The loop rope sling is equipped with various grips and other components.

Purpose

SKP is used in situations where it is necessary to create direct contact of the load with the crane hook.

The most common place to use slings is a construction site. There is always a need to move large cargo. The use of loop rope slings is also relevant for rigging work in the port.

Using the UPC, you can move almost any size and volume of cargo. The only exception is particularly valuable and fragile cargo.

Load capacity

Depending on the load capture scheme, the slings differ in lifting capacity:

if the load is caught in a loop, then the carrying capacity of such a product is no more than 2 tons.

with direct capture, the SKP will lift 2.5 tons;

when gripping a load, the sling forms an angle of 450, such a UPC will lift 9 tons;

if the load is captured and an angle of 900 has formed between the branches of the slings, then the maximum sling will lift 7 tons;

if the branches of the sling form 1200 when grabbing a load, then the SKP will not lift more than 5 tons.

Prices for rope slings in 2021 in most cases depend specifically on the load capacity of the ropes.

Advantages

Rope loop sling has a number of advantages over similar products:

The operating temperature of rope loop slings is declared by the manufacturer to be within the range of -45 to +45.

UPCs are quite resistant to sudden loads;

the destruction of slings occurs very slowly, which makes it possible to discard damaged ropes in a timely manner;

all rope loop slings are subject to repair;

the design of the UPC is simple;

rope slings have exceptional flexibility;

relatively low prices for UPC in 2021.

Flaws

Like any other product, SKP has some disadvantages:

chemically active media are not suitable for using slings;

moving fragile cargo is impossible using such slings;

The rather large weight of the product creates inconvenience when working with loads.
