Textile loop sling

During rigging work, special lifting devices are required. These include a textile loop sling. Their use is due to their simplicity of design and ease of use.

Characteristic features of textile slings

The TP sling has the form of a tape, which is made of durable and soft materials. The most widespread are load grippers made of polyester or lavsan.

These products are characterized by the following features:

STP sling has water-repellent properties;

load grippers made of textiles do not conduct electric current;

the use of such devices allows to minimize injuries;

Textile loop sling can be used at temperatures from -40 to +100;

it is allowed to use devices in an alkaline environment;

Textile slings belong to strength class 7.

Advantages of using textile loop slings

The use of STP slings during loading and unloading operations is due to the following advantages:

when using textile load grippers, it is almost impossible to damage the loads;

fairly light weight of the product;

high degree of wear resistance;

increased resistance to damage and various types of deformation.

Load capacity of textile loop slings

FSW can be either single-layer or multi-layer. The load capacity of the device depends on this.

Textile loop slings are designed for lifting and moving loads weighing up to 50,000 kg. Depending on this indicator, different colors of tape are used in the manufacture of the product. According to the international color code in 2018, the following colors are used to indicate the maximum permissible working load of slings:

you can work with loads up to 1 ton using purple slings;

for loads weighing from 1 to 2 tons, green devices are used;

the yellow color of the tape allows you to work with a weight of over 2 tons, but not more than 3;

gray slings are used for loads from 3 to 4 tons;

devices made of red ribbons can easily cope with a weight of up to 5 tons;

weights from 5 to 6 tons can be moved with slings painted brown;

to work with loads from 8 to 10 tons you need to take blue tapes;/li>

moving ten-ton and heavier loads must be carried out using products painted orange.

Storage of textile slings

In order for the STP to serve for a long time, it is necessary to store the device correctly. Recommendations for product contents are as follows:

for storing textile slings, you must choose a ventilated room, maintain a temperature range of -30 to +30 and a humidity of no more than 85%;

Do not place slings close to chemically aggressive substances or fire;

It is prohibited to leave products on the floor or surfaces that are not resistant to corrosive deformations;

It is necessary to periodically check the devices for damage.
