Four-legged chain sling 4SC
is four chain legs with hooks fixed to the load-bearing oval link. The sling is assembled from components of strength class 8 (G80). At the customer's request, other lifting elements may replace standard fork hooks: different types of hooks, chains, rigging shackles, cargo grips. If fittings are replaced, the cost of the 4SCC sling will be recalculated from the original. The price of the 4SCC sling is higher than similar rope or synthetic tape slings, but justified as the durability of chain slings far exceeds that of wire or synthetic textile ones. Four-legged chain slings can be made with sliding choker hooks to use the 4SCC sling legs as a choker. In this case, the safety factor of the chain sling will remain unchanged. Using a four-legged chain sling with limb-limiting (shortening) hooks is very practical and convenient: it needs to be purchased only once, while adjusting the limb size within the entire spider length range. This hook allows changing the length of the chain sling towards reduction from the original.
